The Association of Inbound Operators (Mauritius) "AIOM" was founded in 1992 to represent the interests of Destination Management Companies and Car Hire professionals.
We currently have 14 members who, altogether provide service to 70% of the tourists arriving in Mauritius.
Destination Management Companies, members of the association are important players of the tourism industry since they constitute the essential transport link between air carriers and hotels, a valuable cog in the industry service chain, starting from the welcome at the airport.
Their services include:
- Airport Welcome and Assistance
- Arrival and departure transfers
- Hotel, Villa and bungalow reservations
- Car Hire
- Excursions and sight seeing
- Assistance to visitors during their holidays
Car hire companies, members of the association, are major international car hire franchisees which operate with a large vehicle portfolio in order to offer a wide choice of cars to their respective customers.
AIOM works in close partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and Leisure and with other government bodies involved in the Tourism Industry
AIOM furthermore takes part in several tourist events every year at both national and international levels.
AIOM sets the protection of our national patrimony as one of its priorities.
